Food with a View
The terrace at Plinio's literally drips with tropical atmosphere and rain forest greenery. The pizza is the best in town, but the Asian cuisine is the hot ticket. There is a smaller place to eat at the Ranchito, beside the pool. Prices are reasonable, and the bar is one of the best-stocked in town.
For a fine sunset and world famous nachos, drop by Barba Roja ("Red Beard") for happy hour at 4:30. The BBQ place down the hill has some of the best ribs in the country.
But the hottest new place to dine is Agua Azul (blue water), with a rooftop setting over the Pacific. Reservations suggested, even during off season, as it has become very popular with the locals.
