Limon on 10-12: Carnaval
Parades, dancing, drinking in the streets
Upala: Corn Festival and crowning of the Corn Queen
Nationwide on 31st: Halloween.
November
Nationwide on 2nd: All Soul's Day, Church processions & pilgrimages to cemeteries
Central Plateau: Coffee-picking contests, music & dancing.
December
San Jose: Gift Fair
Boruca on 12th: Fiesta de los Negritos, Costumed dancing and fireworks
Nationwide on 26th: Los Posadas Caroling; 28th: Topes (horse parades)
San Jose: Dec 26-31, Fiestas, bullfighting, parades
Zapote: Festival with bullfighting, carnival rides, lots and lots of food.
Arts Festivals.
Street art performers from around the globe will hit the streets of San Jose from February 10th through the 17th. The more than a hundred acts at the second annual Arte de la Calle will unfold near San Pedro Outlet Mall, just west of downtown.
