Costa Rica

People come to Costa Rica for diving and fishing, tours fine hotels and villas. We also have some of the world's finest resorts, many of which private and secluded. For all-inclusive deals, Guanacaste and Puntarenas are your best bet. These are just a few of the many reason savvy travelers choose this laid back tropical land as their favorite place for a holiday

Costa Rica

Others include rain forest and volcano tours, surfing, scuba, white water rafting, waterfalls, biking expeditions, aerial canopy rides, coffee plantations -- and the most active volcanoes in Central America. Wildlife ranges from tropical birds and spider monkeys, to deep sea turtles, iguanas, two-toed sloths, crocodiles, giant butterflies and teeny tiny hummingbirds.

From Guanacaste in the northwest, to Jaco and Manuel Antonio on the mid-Pacific, to Corcovado National Park and Golfito, the Pacific Coast offers numerous beaches and water activities. Inland you'll find National Parks, rainforests and jungle, volcanoes and coffee farms, rapids and peaceful lakes. The Atlantic side has a Caribbean feel, with towns such as Cahuita on the beach. Hit Costa Rica for pictures and reviews of this laid back yet vibrant land.

Luxurious rooms, accommodations and lodging dot the Pacific coast, from the southern border with Panama to Playa Flamingo and Playa Ocotal on the Gold Coast in Guanacaste. In a resort, you will discover all the amenities and options that make a vacation complete. Fine dining, nightlife, and easy access to all tours and other activities

Useful Travel Tips

Local currency is the colon, though credit and debit cards are accepted at most hotels and restaurants. Do not bring US currency that is torn, or written on, as it is often not accepted if in poor condition.

English is spoken at all major most tourism facilities, and the best boats always have an English-speaking captain (usually the crew speaks a little too).

Visas are not required for US or Canadian citizens, but you will need a passport. The Costa Rica tourist card (visa) allows you to stay up to 90 days.
