Radisson Hotel: Poker Tournaments, 2005

The Hotel Radisson Europa in San Jose sees more tournament action than any other card room in Costa Rica, with four weekly tournaments. In August, 2006, the year's biggest Hold'em tournament will take place

Weekly Tournament Schedule

At the Radisson there are now tournaments each week. (The Monday night freeze-out, which averages a $450 first prize, is the most popular, with 40-60 players.)

* Sunday $50 buy-in, $50 rebuys
* Monday: 15,000 colones ($31) buy-in, no rebuys
* Tuesday 15,000 colones ($31) buy-in, one 10,000 colones rebuy
* Thursday 25,000 colones ($52) buy-in, no rebuys.

This schedule is often changed without notice. On November 10, for example, they had a $150 buy-in with one $100 add-on -- and a $7,000 guaranteed prize pool.
