Costa Rica Beaches and Beach Hotels
The beaches of Costa Rica vary immensely on both
coasts. Costa Rica beaches, or playas as they are called in Spanish,
range from the dazzling white sands of Flamingo to black sands of
Nicoya.
On the north Pacific coast, Guanacaste province boasts the greatest
number of Costa Rican beachfront hotels.
Manuel Antonio, Jaco and Nicoya are closer to San Jose than Guanacaste.
But Guanacaste is home to the most all-inclusive resorts. Since a year
before 2007, the Papagayo area, just north of Flamingo, has witnessed a
lot of new resorts and hotels.
The Atlantic coast's top Costa Rica beaches around Cahuita and Puerto
Vieja offer a Caribbean flavor and laid back lifestyle
BEACHES
Costa Rica beach hotels offer year-round opportunities for surfing
vacations, though March-November are the optimal months.
For adventure vacations too, as the Guanacaste coast is convenient for
aerial canopy adventures, National Parks, scuba diving, sportfishing,
white-river rafting, volcano and rainforest tours.
Even better news, you can still find a prime piece of real estate and
beachfront hotels in Guanacaste.
